7 Efficient Ways to Pack & Travel In 2024
Traveling worldwide solo has taught me several things about packing and how to travel brighter and lighter!

Traveling can be fun, but cramming evening wear into a suitcase can be frustrating and cause anxiety!
So, to help provide travel with ease, here are my top 7 savvy solo packing tips.
1. Use Compression Seal Bags
Using compression space-saver bags, you can organize clothes per the days and occasions you need them for. That way, if you are traveling around to different hotels, it prevents unpacking and messing up the entire suitcase. Compression bags require no vacuum or pump and provide easy stacking. These bags are moisture and odor-proof, so as you wear clothes, you can place the soiled ones back in the bags, keeping the rest clean. Packing in chronological order, starting with the last outfit on the bottom of the case and ending with the first outfit on the top, will prevent messing up the luggage and save time.
2. Roll Your Clothes
Rolling clothes and placing them in the compression bags is the best way to save space. Fold in top sleeves and roll from the bottom up. The legs need to be placed together for pants before rolling from the waist down. This will keep clothes separate from shoes and prevent them from getting soiled before usage.
3. Use Travel-Friendly Fabrics
Ironing is not always practical when you are traveling to different countries and busy on the go with activities. So, I recommend wrinkle-free fabrics that allow wrinkles to fall with the ease of a hanger. Synthetic polyester, nylon, and spandex fabrics are lightweight, wrinkle-resistant, and stretchy. Cotton-spandex or polyester blend provides comfort and strength.
4. Pack A Travel Scale
Avoid overpacking by traveling with a portable electronic luggage scale. If your travel includes different countries requiring an airline swap, knowing the airline’s policy on checked luggage weight is essential. Overpacking, by just five extra pounds, can be costly.
5. Organize Your Liquids
I learned the hard way that different countries have different requirements for liquids. The U.S. is far more lenient for citizens traveling domestically versus Ireland, which nearly made me throw away my essentials. TSA clear zipped travel toiletry bags will help place liquids on the screening belt efficiently. It’s important to know each country’s liquid allowance before traveling.
6. Pack a Stainless-Steel Water Bottle
When traveling on a budget, the best price airline tickets are usually found with early departure times. Sometimes, I arrived at the airport, and no stores or food stations were open. Most airports today offer filling stations for water bottles. Staying hydrated is very important when traveling, and flights get delayed on tarmacs; traveling with preparation is empowering.
7. Pack Airplane Pockets
Airplane pockets: airplane tray table covers have been some of my best travel products. No more dirty trays or seat back pockets; airplane pockets are sanitary, expandable, and convenient. Store your iPad, wipes, reusable water bottle, headphones, and more in stretchy pockets, keeping travel essentials organized. Click on Airplane Pockets to learn more.
